Hanlon Small Works Delivers Plumbing Excellence to Award-Winning Club InterContinental

Hanlon is proud to celebrate the success of the Club InterContinental project, which has been recognised with a 2025 New Zealand Commercial Project Award - Gold in the Tourism and Leisure category. Located within the newly opened InterContinental Hotel at 1 Queen Street, Auckland, this world-class lounge sets a new standard for luxury hospitality.

 The Club InterContinental is an exclusive, members-only space offering guests elevated comfort, service, and privacy. Delivering a project of this caliber required the expertise of a carefully selected team of contractors - and Hanlon's Small Works Division was proud to play a key role.

Hanlon was responsible for delivering the full plumbing fit-out, covering both first fix and second fix installations. Our scope included complex behind the walls systems as well as the final installation of premium fixtures throughout the space. The project featured a high-end commercial kitchen, requiring robust and hygienic plumbing solutions to support premium food and beverage service. We also completed detailed plumbing works for the luxury bathrooms, ensuring a flawless finish that matched the Club's sophisticated design.

 This project was a technical and logistical challenge, with construction taking place inside a live, mixed-use environment in the heart of Auckland's Commercial Bay precinct. Coordinating with multiple contractors under tight timeframes, our team worked closely with lead contractor BLACK, architects Warren & Mahoney, and other project partners to ensure the successful delivery of every element. The result is a space that not only meets excellent hospitality standards, and now also holds national recognition for construction excellence.
